Installation

💻 Requirements#

In order to run Measmatic the following requirements must be met:

  • 64 bit Windows 10 or 11
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • 1 GB of free disk space
  • DirectX 9c capable (DirectX 11 preferred) Video Card (GPU) with at least 256MB

Tip

To make the best possible use of the high-performance diagram view, we recommend also having a nVidia GeForce GTX 1050 or later or equivalent AMD Radeon GPU with at least 2GB of VRAM. This allows several hundred thousand or even several million points to be displayed.

⚙ Setup#

After all settings are confirmed, the installation will begin.

  2. Complete Installation

If the option to launch Measmatic is checked, the application will start automatically. Otherwise launch Measmatic from the start menu or desktop shortcut.

🔁 Update#

If you already have Measmatic installed, you can update to the latest version by running the setup file again. Follow the same steps as for the initial installation (see Setup).

The installation path and the data folder cannot be changed during an update.

Before the update the setup will create a backup of the following directories inside the Measmatic data directory:

AdapterFiles, Configuration, ExportFilter, Lua, LuaDeviceTests, MachinePins, PinGroupsFiles, PythonTests, TestTemplates

The backup is stored in the Backup subfolder of the Measmatic data folder as a zip file.
